On this page you will find many of the documents I will be using in class.  If you need another copy of a handout to use at home or school - feel free to download any of these documents to your computer.  Many of the files on the website are in the following formats: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Adobe PDF.   Double Click on the file that you need and the file will open in your browser.  You will need Microsoft PowerPoint, (or its viewer) Adobe Reader, and Microsoft Word installed on your computer in order to utilize many of the files.  Once a PowerPoint Presentation is loaded into your browser use the arrow keys on your keyboard to view the presentation.  Click on the back button to return to this page.

To save any of the documents directly to your computer, simply right-click on the link, click on "Save Target As" and then use the "Save In" box to direct where you want the file to be saved.  That action will download the document directly to your computer for you to use at later time.  I recommend this method, as it will maintain the integrity of the formatting of the documents.  Also, make sure you remember to note "the path" (the place where you are saving the file on your computer) so you can find it later when you need it.

If you do not have Microsoft Word at home, you can also use the following sites to create documents that you then email to yourself and open in Microsoft Word when you get to school.   In addition, these sites are especially useful for those times when you are traveling and don’t have access to your own computer.

Classic Menu for Office 2007!

Bring back the familiar menus and toolbars of Office 2003  to your copy of Microsoft Office 2007.      “Are you frustrated by endless searches for features on the Ribbon? Download and install this software and easily use the familiar main menu and the standard and formatting toolbars of Office 2003.”Click here to check it out!

(I’ve been using this terrific product for more than six months and it works great. I have no interest in this company.  There are other similar types of products on the market that you might want to consider as well.)

Mr. Gallagher

NOTE:  To return to this page from the document, use the back button in Internet Explorer. Don't forget to check your Printer's Margins before printing out any of the documents.

If you do not have the Microsoft PowerPoint program installed on your computer you can still view the PowerPoint presentations.  Simply download and install the Microsoft PowerPoint viewer.  Click here  to get the viewer.

To open PDF Files you will need the Adobe Reader.  You can get it FREE by clicking on the Adobe Reader Logo and following the download instructions that you'll see on their site.

Fun Facts

More than 75% of Mr. Gallagher's students said, in their evaluation of his classes, that one of the skills they appreciated most was learning the mechanics involved in researching and writing a Term Paper.

Important!

Did you know that most successful students in high school carry a Homework Notebook with them at all times?  That way they always know what's due and when.
